The Future of Homeopathy Treatment in 2025

FUTURE OF HOMEOPATHY TREATMENT IN 2025

Introduction

Every science has a history and a wonderful story of its origin. Homeopathy is also a medical science and has a good journey in its development. As per World Health Organization (WHO), Homeopathy is the second-largest system of medicine, after allopathy.

Homeopathy is a holistic science that was invented by a German physician, Dr. Samuel Hahnemann in 1796.

Homeopathy was evolved by the curious mind of Dr. Sammuel Hahnemann when he experimented on the curative action of ‘China Officinalis' bark in treating Malaria.

After several experiments on himself, his relatives, and other volunteers for 6 years, he finally declared that homeopathy is a medical science in 1796.

Principles of Homeopathy

Homeopathy works on the principle of ‘likes to be cured by like’ (in German – ‘Similia Similibus Curanture’). The word ‘Homeopathy’ is a Greek derivation where ‘homoeo’ means – similar and ‘pathos’ means– suffering.

Homeopathy is a therapeutic method of curing the natural suffering of man by the administration of drugs, which have been experimentally proven to possess the power of producing similar, artificial suffering in healthy human beings.

Benefits of Homeopathic Medicines

Homeopathy aims to provide quick and gentle cures and is especially effective in dealing with acute and chronic illnesses.

Homeopathic remedies are powerful but diluted, and thus, entirely free from harmful side effects. Homeopathy uses minute doses of natural remedies to stimulate the body's natural healing energy, to help the patient to regain health.

The situation of Homeopathy in India

Though this system of medicine was born in Germany, more flourished in India. A large population in India is taking homeopathic medicines for their medical needs.

At present, there are more than 200 homeopathic medical colleges in India, and out of them; around 40 are government medical colleges. After BHMS, MD and Ph.D. have also started as a part of higher studies.

Day by day, more and more people are shifting towards Homeopathy and taking homeopathic treatment for various ailments.

Development of Homeopathy

Continuous research, scientific knowledge, and modern techniques are increasing the effectiveness of homeopathy in treating severe and chronic diseases like arthritis, asthma, diabetes, skin diseases, and also the most lethal diseases like cancers, which is opening the way for homeopathy.

Homeopathic physicians are taking the lead to treat pandemic and epidemic diseases, Bird flu, Swine flu, Dengue, and Chikungunya are some examples, where homeopathic medicines proved to be very effective in preventing as well as managing difficult conditions. The whole world recognizes the role of homeopathy in the recent Covid-19 pandemic

Despite a lot of criticism, there is a worldwide increase in the use of homeopathy and rapid expansion of the global market leading to further development of safe and quality homeopathic drugs.

Today, homeopathy is practiced in 90 countries and is trusted by over 50 crore people across the world.

Advancement in Homeopathy

With time, Homeopathy and homeopathic practitioner are becoming advanced. Unlike traditional homeopaths, new homeopaths are using technology and gadgets to make their presence in the medical world.

To ease out homeopathic practice, many Homeopathy software is also developed which helps to find the right medicine in a fast and easy way. This software helps in the quick 'repertorisation' of case studies in comparison to the traditional way through repertory books.

Homeopathy is equally effective in veterinary cases. Many people are using homeopathic medicines to treat their pets and other animals with homeopathy.

Homeopathic medicines are also used in organic fertilizers and give good results in crop fertilization programs.

Challenges for Homeopathy

Homeopathy got the opposition from many authorities, many scientists tried to prove that homeopathy is just pseudoscience and not scientifically proven.

But, despite so many criticisms, it is slowly emerging as the largest system of medicine. From being the last option of an alternative system of medicine, homeopathy has now become a front-line complementary system of medicine and a primary healthcare choice to treat both acute and chronic medical conditions.

People who never believed in homeopathy, including some doctors from other systems are now accepting homeopathy like never before.

Future of Homeopathy in coming years

In the coming 5 years, the future of homeopathy seems to be very bright. Rather than its side effects or inability to treat chronic diseases by allopathy, homeopathy is leading in treating complicated diseases and providing a permanent cure for many chronic diseases like skin, digestive, respiratory, anorectal, and joints & muscular disorders. Homeopathic medicine can also be given in most emergency treatments

We can say that in the coming days, homeopathy would be the ‘pathy’ of the future, or in other words, it will be a ‘futurepathy’.
